10 Day Lima Tour Package Peru

We will arrive in Lima, the modern capital of Peru, and meet our local representative at Gate 3 or 4. Our private transfer will take us to our hotel in Miraflores or San Isidro. If our flight arrives before 3:00 PM., we will leave our luggage in the lobby and explore on our own.
We may stroll through Kennedy Park, enjoy Peruvian coffee, or watch the sunset over the Pacific Ocean from Larcomar Mall. The rest of the day will be for rest and adjusting to Peru’s coastal climate.

We will begin our Lima City Tour in Miraflores, viewing the Huaca Pucllana ruins from our bus and passing through San Isidro’s El Olivar Park, known for its ancient olive trees.

Then, we will explore Lima’s Historic Center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with colonial architecture. We will visit the Plaza Mayor, the Cathedral, the Government Palace, and the San Francisco Convent with its mysterious catacombs.

We will depart early from our hotel in Lima at 6:00 AM. and travel south to Paracas. There, we will board a speedboat to the Ballestas Islands and admire sea lions, penguins, and seabirds.

Afterward, we will visit Ica and the Tacama Vineyard to learn about local wine and Pisco production. We will enjoy tastings and traditional lunch options at local wineries.

In the afternoon, we will head to the Huacachina Oasis for a thrilling dune buggy and sandboarding adventure. We will enjoy a breathtaking sunset over the desert before returning to Lima.

We will transfer to the airport to board our flight to Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire located at 3,399 meters above sea level. Upon arrival at Cusco Airport, our local guide will greet us and escort us to our hotel in the historic center of the city.

After settling in, we will begin our Cusco City Tour, where we will explore some of the most important historical and archaeological sites of the city. During the tour we will visit Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun) and nearby Inca archaeological complexes such as Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay, learning about the impressive architecture and history of the Inca civilization.

This tour will also help us start adapting to the altitude while discovering the cultural heritage of the Imperial City of Cusco. After the visit, we will return to our hotel, and we will have some free time to walk through Cusco’s cobbled streets, traditional markets, and charming plazas.

We will travel to Cruzpata, in the Sacred Valley, to start our ATV adventure. Our guide will give safety instructions before we ride toward Moray, an impressive Inca agricultural laboratory. We will explore the circular terraces that ancient Incas used to study crops.

Then, we will head toward Maras, a picturesque Andean village with traditional doorways and stone streets. We will continue to the Salineras de Maras, a stunning network of 3,000 salt pools that glisten under the sun. Surrounded by the peaks of Verónica and Chicón, this will be a perfect place for photos.

Day 5 Statistics:

We will leave at 3:30 AM. toward Cusipata, where we will enjoy an Andean breakfast. Then, we will reach Fulawasi, the starting point of the hike to Rainbow Mountain.

The trail will ascend gradually through colorful landscapes, herds of alpacas, and snow-capped peaks. After a 1.5-hour hike, we will reach Vinicunca, at 5,200 meters above sea level. The mountain displays natural mineral colors that form red, yellow, and turquoise stripes.

We will have time for rest and photos before descending for lunch in Cusipata. Later, we will return to Cusco, full of Andean energy and beautiful memories.

Day 6 Statistics:

At 7:00 AM., we will head to the Sacred Valley. Our first stop will be the Taray viewpoint, offering panoramic views of the valley. We will visit the Pisac ruins and its vibrant artisan market.

We will continue to Urubamba for a buffet lunch surrounded by mountains. In the afternoon, we will explore Ollantaytambo, an ancient Inca fortress with huge stone terraces. We will then take a train to Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes), where our guide will meet us at the station and take us to our hotel.

Day 7 Statistics:

• Route: Cusco - Pisac - Urubamba - Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes (100 km)

After breakfast, we will take the Consettur bus to the Machu Picchu entrance. Then we will enter to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

Our guided tour will last two hours, exploring the Temple of the Sun, Intihuatana, and Sacred Plaza. We will enjoy free time to take photos and admire the incredible views of the Urubamba Valley. Afterward, we will return by bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch and then board the train back to Ollantaytambo. Our driver will transfer us to Cusco.

We will depart Cusco early toward Mollepata, where we will enjoy breakfast. Then, we will continue to Soraypampa, the starting point of our hike to Humantay Lagoon.

The trail will ascend through scenic valleys surrounded by snow-capped peaks. After 1.5 hours, we will reach the turquoise waters of the Humantay Lagoon, located at 4,250 meters above sea level. We will have time for photos and meditation before descending to Soraypampa. After lunch, we will return to Cusco in the afternoon.
