Detailed itinerary
Day 1:
Cusco – Andahuaylillas – Raqchi – La Raya – Pucará – Puno
Day 1: Cusco – Andahuaylillas – Raqchi – La Raya – Pucará – Puno
We will begin our Ruta del Sol Cusco Puno early in the morning. At 06:00 AM, we will pick you up from your hotel in the historic center of Cusco. Then we will transfer to the departure terminal to start our journey toward the southern Andes. Along the way, we will admire charming Andean villages and wide valleys surrounded by snow-capped peaks.
Andahuaylillas:
Our first stop will be in Andahuaylillas, home to the famous “Sistine Chapel of the Andes.” Inside, we will admire impressive murals, colonial paintings, and baroque-style decorations that reflect the fusion of Andean and Spanish art. We will have time to walk around the main square and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this small town.
Raqchi:
Next, we will visit Raqchi, also known as the Temple of Wiracocha. This ancient Inca site was once a major religious and administrative center. We will explore the tall adobe walls, ceremonial fountains, and ancient terraces that once served pilgrims of the Sun God. La Raya Pass:

Pucará:
