TAMBOPATA & MACHUPICCHU PACKAGE 5 days / 4 nights

Type : Ecotourism. Duration : 5 days / 4 nights. ITINERARY Day 1: Cusco - Madre de Dios - Isla Monkey After your transfer from your hotel to the airport, you will board your flight to the Amazonian city of Puerto Maldonado. There you will go to one of the citys boats ports where a motorized craft will take you across the river Madre de Dios to the ecological lodge where accomodations for your stay will be provided. After your reception and lunch, your guide will escort you to your first stop, Monkey Island. you will observe at least 5 different types of monkeys in their natural surroundings. You will then return to the lodge for dinner and a comfortable over night stay. Day 2: The lost lake (Cocha) After breakfast, your adventure begins in the virgin jungle and the lost lake/cocha. It will be your first point of interest as it is a wild life refuge and feeding park for many various types of otters, Caymans, turtles, sachavacas, exotic birds majestic jaguars and numerous unique varieties of fish. This part of the jungle is unique because it maintains it's natural marshlands. You will visit some extraordinary view points one of wich was built over the largest of the jungle trees the Shiuanaco from where you can observe the immensity of this magical place. Completing your journey, you may wish to wander to amidst the lost lake area when it will be time to return to the lodge for lunch. During afternoon hours you are invited to visit a native family, botanical garden and ecological pool and finishing up your day with dinner and your overnight accomodations ready. Day 3: Tambopata - Cusco - The Sacred Valley Breakfast and transport to the local port in Tambopata with a bus tour of the town awaits. After, you will be taken to the airport for your return to Cusco. Upon your arrival in Cusco, you will board a bus and travel to the Sacred Valley where hotel accomodations in the locality of Ollantaytambo's archaeological center await your arrival. lunch and visit the archaeological center are next on schedule, afterwards dinner and your overnight accomodations ready. Day 4: Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes - Hot Springs At your scheduled time you will leave for the railroad station and board the train to Aguas Calientes. After you check into our selected hotel, you will want to visit the thermal baths of Aguas Calientes with lunch afterwards. Day 5: Machupicchu - Intipunku - Cusco. At 5:30 a.m. You will board the bus from Machupicchu wich travels to Intipunku and is a part of the citadel where the rising of the new days sun can be seen and appreciated. At scheduled time can visit the Incan enclosures for two hours before boarding your bus to Aguas Calientes. It will be lunch time and your train is waiting to return you to Cusco.
